Microsoft released TypeScript 7.0 on 8 July 2026 . It is a native port of the TypeScript compiler, written in Go, and Microsoft describes it as about ten times faster than TypeScript 6.0.

Why we care

Every toyfox product is written in TypeScript, from the apps to the servers behind them. A faster compiler means faster builds and a quicker editor, which adds up over a working day.

Where we are

Our projects run on TypeScript 5.9 today. Our framework sets the pace: Angular 22 requires TypeScript 6, so we move one step at a time and test each step before it reaches you.
